Overview

The Ascension to Mount Almirante Nieto is a demanding 3-day adventure through the stunning landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park. Starting with a 1.5-hour drive from Puerto Natales, the trek begins at Estancia Cerro Paine, leading to a high camp on the Torres Glacier Moraine. Day two kicks off at 3 a.m., with climbers tackling a rocky gully and west ridge, eventually reaching the 2,750-meter summit. The reward is a breathtaking panorama of the park’s iconic Torres peaks. After savoring the summit views, participants descend back to camp for rest, completing the journey on day three with a return to Puerto Natales. This expedition is suited for experienced hikers with good physical fitness and requires climbing proficiency up to level 5.7.

ITINERARY

It is important to mention that the guide may modify the itinerary based on climatic and environmental conditions, but the goal is always to adhere to the planned program as closely as possible.

Days 1

Itinerary for the 1 days

We depart from Puerto Natales via Private or Regular Transportation, journeying for 1.5 hours to arrive at Torres del Paine National Park. From Estancia Cerro Paine, we will trek for 6 to 7 hours to our high camp, situated on the Torres Glacier Moraine.

Day 2

Itinerary for day 2

We would depart from our high camp at 3 a.m., ascending a rocky gully until we reached the west ridge. From the ridge, we would navigate a brief section of rock and continue along the ridge until we arrived at this breathtaking summit (2650m). From the summit, we would be treated to one of the most remarkable views that Torres del Paine has to offer, with the peaks of the four iconic Torres at our feet. After savoring this extraordinary summit, we would commence our descent along the same route until we returned to our high camp for rest.

Day 3

Itinerary for day 3

On our third day, we will descend to Estancia Cerro Paine, where we will board our private or regular transportation that will take us to Puerto Natales to celebrate our ascent!
