Chorrillo Salmon Trek + Grey Glacier Catamaran

Overview

An excellent choice for those seeking tranquility and a connection with the Magellanic forest. Following a two-hour journey westward from the park, we arrive at the banks of the Pingo River, where we will disembark at the Cafeteria Grey sector to commence our initial walk. We will traverse pre-Andean scrublands before reaching a plain that offers multiple vistas of the river and its meanders. The south-western face of the Paine Massif will come into view, prominently featuring Paine Grande and the Cuernos del Paine. This less-frequented area is ideal for birdwatching as we gradually progress towards the lenga and coihue forests, rich in flora and fauna. We will arrive at the Chorrillo Salmón sector, a privileged area of the national park. We will return to the Cafetería Pingo sector to initiate the second part of this excursion, crossing the Pingo bridge until we reach the shore of Playa Grey, where the catamaran will be waiting on the opposite side to commence our navigation along the lake until we reach the faces of the glacier of the same name. This is an ideal combination for enjoying the view of ancient icebergs and ice walls belonging to the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.
