Overview
As an emblem of the Province of Última Esperanza, Cerro Castillo is distinguished by its iconic vantage point offering 360º views of the province. This excursion presents an opportunity to experience a variety of unique landscapes in Chilean Patagonia. Participants will enjoy vistas of Lake Porteño, Lake Toro, Macizo Paine, Tenerife, La Sierra Prat, and Sierra Baguales. The journey commences with a passage through a transition of pre-Andean scrub and ñirres, followed by an ascent through moraines that provide breathtaking views of the region. Along the trek, we will encounter imposing walls of sedimentary rock that characterize the three summits of this hill. Our objective is to reach the principal summit, allowing us to connect with the province and revel in one of the finest panoramic views of the area.
